Save money on Gas this Summer

Keeping gas prices cheap over the summer.
MoreGallons.com was something we discussed last year when gas prices went through the roof, this year Arizona seems to be gearing up for high gas prices again. Thought we would put a link here for you to review and decide if it's right for you.

If anyone out there decides to use this service let us know about your experience.
So far I don't know of anyone using this service in The AWA, it seemed interesting so here it is.

Riding for Life with Impostre Gear

Jack is a 5th grader as Basis Scottsdale, he is 11, and a couple months ago he came up with the idea of "impostre." He had started coming up with ideas that lead or more like evolved into impostre, several months ago. He put so much time & consideration into what he wanted to do with his idea. It was important for Jack to do something with what he loves most... RIDING and promote riding in a positive way to other kids. He knows that kids are the future of board sports. He wanted to encourage others to follow through with their goals of being better riders, to do their personal best, entering events and being positive role models for their sport. Jack/impostre, had only been to skate events until Christine gave permission to go the AWA event. Jack's goal is to donate profit from the merchandise he can sell on his impostre web site and/or events to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital (they specialize in researching treatment/cures for pediatric diseases)...that is what his "Ridin' for Life" motto is all about that is printed on his impostre posters & website. He wanted to help kids who may not have the opportunity to do what they love. He realizes he is blessed...he is healthy and able to follow his dreams and goals. St. Jude's was his first choice. In fact, he got the idea of St. Judes because his buddies' father, who is a greeting card designer, works with pediatric cancer patients to design/print the St. Jude's Christmas cards, Jack thought that was awesome. As parents, we wanted to support Jack's idea, we thought it was really cool that he put so much thought into supporting the sports and causes he believes in. It is important to us as a family to instill family values and personal goals. So next thing we knew we were helping him with the trademark/legal process & started working with web designers etc. and calling event coordinators. We had his hats, shirts, posters, stickers (and skate decks made that we can legally put the impostre logo on) made- it really was a much bigger undertaking than we had planned, because clearly the time Jack can spend on impostre is limited with being a 5th grader with homework, chores and a 9:00 bedtime!

The AZ Dream Double Up Comp

Benjamin Christensen second place, Jimmy Wolf took first, Joe Shipka took third.

So it was Tuesday night at 10:45 when a crazy booyah thought entered our heads... double-up?? With only 3 days to plan we grabbed the most bodacious riders in AZ to shred Bartlett Lake with steez that has never been released to the public!! Yes!! We threw the most insane, booyah competition that has ever hit AZ! Each rider was given 2 double ups for their opportunity to show us what they got. After many steezy grabs, flips/spins, gnarly crashes, some amazing driving by Derek Bourm and a couple of tickets from our local sheriff, it was clear amongst the riders whose double-ups truly stood out. Local Liquid Force rider Joe Shipka took the 3rd spot with a heelside 540. Benjamin Christensen, Company team rider, threw a huuuge stylish method f/s 360 to land him in 2nd. CWB Pro team rider Jimmy Wolf stomped a gnarly heelside double grab f/s 540 to win the competition!! A special thanks goes out to the sponsors including Company Wakeboards, Von Zipper, Red Bull, Reef, Freestyle Watches and The AZ Dream itself!!! P.S. there will be many more events to come...
